about

"Electricity Tides" is about karma and the interconnectivity of the human race and life. It is about how we shoot down and rip things apart because we are in another place or mindset, when really we are all so similar . We all hear and feel music or need air to breathe or lose energy and hope if we fall out of touch with our sense of soul/passion/faith.

To me, this song is inspired by Hendrix, listening to Jimi a lot in Woodstock growing up as a kid. Just having a positive message about not being afraid to wave your freak flag and shit like that.

This one really has a strong Sunny Day Real Estate influence as well. I love how locked in Sean Paul and Nate are while Joe and Dave create such lush feedback.
-Morgan Y. Evans

lyrics

I want to cut a path to make the continents feel new again
Can we follow through? Can we find the new jazz?
The message matters tonight and ever after.
The plot thickens. The planet needs better living conditions, not carbon copy hate
so rejoice in the rush of currents.
Can we follow through?

No advertising campaign against outspoken superheroes
you try to homogenize the abstract
well, hallways to investigate lead to the hard facts and we’re dug in
so you better lick your lips

Magnetic, let loose my own signature signal flares for the dramatic
Fly over parades of give and take and see what gives
Sterilize needles for lethal injections

All I see is jaded baby fat on your outlook
where’s the wonder?
You condemn before you think.
Go carve your name on the Books of Life!!
