about

"Clean Shot" is our dirge. It was about seeing someone I loved overdose and praying for a way out.

Trying to find a light at the end of a tunnel of regret.

The groove is very inspired by bands like Korn and Deftones and the bridge is kind of our own thing, a majestic kind of hopeful section that was so uplifting live. I remember we played this song at The Delancey in NYC once and I bloodied my fist on the wall getting into it so hard.

Danny Ilchuck did the spoken word outro and we used one of Dr. Know from Bad Brains' cool ass Ebow guitars, this crazy instrument he had! It was so spooky and ghostly!

The intro riff that Kurt wrote was kind of similar to "Ready Or Not" by The Fugees, which I always thought was fucking awesome.
